Welcome to the American Indian Scouting Association Home Page

AISA is an association of Boy Scout and Girl Scout youth and adults who work together to promote Scouting in and around Native American population centers (tribal reserves, reservations, urban areas, etc). Membership is open to currently enrolled youth and adult members of GSUSA and BSA. Members need not be an enrolled member of a tribe.
American Indian Scouting Association seminars include sessions on general information, presentations by tribes and Scouting organizations, training, cultural diversity and tollerance and other workshops that will promote Scouting for American Indian Youth.


Western Carolina University To
Host 2008 Seminar

The American Indian Scouting Association encourages Indian Scouting through a series of seminars held annualy as well as other resources AISA creates. Each seminar is hosted by a tribe near the host city and a sponsoring site (usually a school or university).

The 2008 Seminar will be held at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC July 12 - 16, 2008. WCU is part of the University of North Carolina system.

AISA Elder Honored
