I'd be remiss if I did remind everyone that the wheelchair ramp was the first "community effort". See it HERE.
Day 1- Dec. 13, 2008
Yesh, this job is overdue. |
The north side is the worst... |
Greg is pulling the old trim... |
While nephew Forrest holds the ladder. |
Day 2- Dec. 14, 2008
Day 3 and 4- Dec. 20-21, 2009
Finally, all the Tyvek is on. |

The siding meets the trim... |
It was a long time between days. Here's day 5. This is what we did January 29, 2009 when my friends and coworkers came over...
Off with the old nasty masonite trim. |
Once the PT boards are up the foam goes on. |

DAY 6- FEBRUARY 1, 2009
David and I got the rest of the side all prepped. I got some caulking done and primed the first water-table trim.
Then Dave and I finished all the prep on the side of the house. We cut and nailed up the foam sheathing,
framed all the windows, wrapped the house with Tyvek and then installed the last two new windows.
Just in time, too- it's supposed to get cold and rainy again this week.

DAY 7- FEBRUARY 16, 2009
I built some "boxes" for the eves extensions, then Donna helped me put them on.
After that
David and I got the rest of the siding on!
