Lamberts Get Their Own Domain

New web page created for the Lambert Family and kin-

A new domain was registerd Friday, April 22, 2005 called WWW.LAMBFAM.ORG. This web page is for the decendants of Hugh Lambert, grandfather of Hugh Nolan Lambert Sr. of Cherokee and Brevard, NC.

The page includes related families including Gilliams, DeWeese, Emblem, Smith and various in-laws, outlaws and friends.


Hugh N. Lambert III appointed Web Administrator of the EBCN

Hugh N. Lambert III has been appointed the new Web Administrator of the Eastern Band of Cherokees Nation. Along with countless other duties Hugh now also administers the tribes web pages including www.nc-cherokee.com

"No sweat- it's knucklehead stuff or I couldn't do it" Hugh was heard to say.


David Lambert Appointed Resource Officer

David R. Lambert has been appointed by the BIA as the Natural Resource officer to the EBCN. David has now moved back from New Mexico and now resides in Cherokee.

The Lambert Branch Fire

Forest Fire In Cherokee
April 6, 2005


The Lambert Branch Fire started about 2:00pm and burned from Lambert Branch to Fox Knob. An NC Forestry helicopter is called in to support BIA Forestry workers. BIA worked from 2:30pm till midnight containing the 160 acre fire. Thanks to BIA forestry no homes were damaged.
Hugh Lambert, Captain of the Cherokee Volunteer Fire Dept. and David Lambert of BIA Forrestry both responded to fight the fire.

The NC Forestry helipoter, based in Asheville, scoops up 250 gallons of water each "dip".
